Part-Time Payroll Administrator

Roderick's Now Hiring a Part-Time Payroll Administrator

Duties Include But Not Limited To:

  • Enter employee payroll data into payroll software systems

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for multiple client accounts

  • Review payroll information for accuracy prior to processing

  • Enter and verify employee hours, wage rates, and payroll adjustments

  • Assist with payroll-related record-keeping and documentation and setup

  • Maintain organized payroll files and digital records

  • Assist with tracking payroll deadlines and processing schedules

  • Support payroll tax and reporting documentation under supervision

  • Communicate with team and clients regarding notices, payroll corrections or missing information

  • Assist with maintaining payroll compliance documentation for client accounts

  • Support preparation of payroll reports and summaries for internal review

  • Provide front office support, including answering phones, directing inquiries, and assisting with general administrative office coordination and clerical tasks

  • Helping ensure payroll deadlines and processing schedules are met

  • Supporting the firm’s focus on confidentiality and secure handling of employee payroll data

  • Assisting with maintaining payroll systems and documentation that support compliance with federal and Massachusetts payroll requirements

  • Helping the payroll team deliver consistent, reliable payroll services to clients

Key Skill Sets:

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Basic understanding of payroll processes and wage calculations

  • Familiarity with payroll software platforms (such as ADP, XERO, Paychex, or similar systems)

  • Ability to maintain organized payroll records and documentation

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

  • Ability to manage deadlines and recurring payroll schedules

  • Strong understanding of confidentiality when handling payroll and employee information

Additional Skill Sets:

  • Previous experience supporting payroll, bookkeeping, or administrative functions

  • Familiarity with payroll compliance requirements and documentation practices

  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal team members regarding payroll information

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to learn payroll systems and processes quickly

  • Professional reliability and discretion when handling financial and employee records

Work Environment:

  • Part-time schedule (approximately 20-25 hours per week depending on workload)

  • May include flexible scheduling

  • Starting at $23/hr
