An open forum workshop on Recycling Practices, Food Waste & Sustainability Measures including discussions led by speakers from Town, the Center for EcoTechnology/MassDEP & CARE for the Cape and Islands. 

Building a greener Provincetown works best when it’s built by the businesses that power it.

Join us for a collaborative session focused on practical, business-friendly approaches to waste and sustainability. Whether you’re looking to tackle food waste, are curious about the actual lifecycle of our town’s recycling, or want to share the specific logistical hurdles your business faces, this is your seat at the table. You’ll hear short insights from the Town, Center for EcoTechnology/MassDEP, and CARE for the Cape and Islands, and have space to share what’s working, what’s challenging, and where you need support. 

• Local Information: Understand exactly where Provincetown’s waste streams e goes and what recent Town audits reveal about opportunities.

• Compliance Roadmap: Get a breakdown of current bylaws and potential upcoming food waste regulations in Massachusetts so you can plan ahead.

• Resource Access: Connect directly with experts from RecyclingWorks MACenter for EcoTechnology and CARE for free technical assistance and pilot program opportunities.

• A Seat at the Table: Share your specific logistical hurdles, from haulers to composting, directly with Town leadership and the Recycling Committee.
